Good questions

What is the difference between Giardia and Coccidia?

Both are tiny parasites that live in the gut and cause loose stool. Giardia is often picked up from contaminated water. Coccidia is especially common in puppies and kittens. CARE treats both in one bottle.

How long is a course?

Once a day for 7 to 10 days. Always follow the label on your bottle.

Which size should I buy?

Each pet needs 1 ml for every 5 lb, once a day. Start with the 120 ml bottle; the 500 ml bottle costs about 16% less per ml and the 1000 ml about 20% less, so they suit multi-pet homes, litters and rescues.

Can I give it to puppies and kittens?

The CARE label says it is not for pets under 2 weeks old, or for pregnant or nursing pets. For very young pets, talk to your vet.

Why does it keep coming back?

Giardia cysts can survive in the yard, bedding and water bowls, so pets can pick it up again. Pick up stool straight away, wash bedding and bowls, and finish the full course.

When should I call the vet?

If there is blood in the stool, your pet is vomiting, very tired or not drinking, or a very young puppy or kitten has diarrhea.
