New litter or a new rescue?
Start here.

Puppies, kittens and new arrivals often pick up worms, Giardia or Coccidia from their mother or their last home. Zap-Wormer can be used from 2 weeks of age, and CARE comes in 500 ml and 1000 ml bottles for a whole litter.

“I also religiously use their combo coccidia and Giardia treatment with the dewormer for every cat and kitten that we intake.”

Good questions

From what age can I start?

Zap-Wormer can be used from 2 weeks of age. The CARE label says it is not for pets under 2 weeks old.

How much CARE do I need for a litter?

Add up the litter's weight: each pet needs 1 ml for every 5 lb, once a day for 7 to 10 days. The 500 ml bottle costs about 16% less per ml than the 120 ml, and the 1000 ml about 20% less.

Can I treat the mother?
